Thank you for visiting Rainbow Au Pairs. We are a new Au Pair agency, dedicated to providing an efficient, but personal service both for host families and Au Pairs. Most people know what an Au Pair is and what they can be expected to provide, although if you have no previous experience of finding an Au Pair, or inviting someone to be a part of your family, the prospect may feel slightly unsettling.
We are here to offer peace of mind, convenience and a commitment to ensuring that families are provided with the Au Pair they want. We recognise that the key to a good Au Pair experience is matching the needs of the family with the attributes of the Au Pair. An Au Pair, who has been welcomed and settled into a safe environment, and has been properly matched to the requirements of the host family has every prospect of being a happy and valued addition to the family.
Rainbow Au Pairs provides a fresh approach to finding and placing au pairs. We have a dual commitment to both host families and au pairs to ensure both parties are happy. We offer genuinely tailored matching services, based on the principle of taking time to understand people’s personal requirements, skills and motivations. Our unique services include the option of rigorous (but affordable) personality testing, as well as a comprehensive profiling match for each placement.
Rainbow Au Pairs are a small family run business. A personal service means taking the time to talk to people, not simply processing enquiries. Unlike some au pair agencies which function as a purely internet-based service (without vetting or screening), what we offer is professional, personal and individualised, designed to match real people to real families.

Rainbow Au Pairs places Au Pairs into the UK from all over Europe, but in particular, from Spain, Italy, France, Hungary, Turkey and Romania. While Rainbow is strongly focused on London and the South East of England, we also serve other parts of the UK. We are particularly focused on the counties of Kent and Sussex. Locations include popular towns such as Tunbridge Wells, Lewes, and Brighton, as well as attractive rural and semi rural locations like Forest Row, Sharpthorne and Edenbridge. We have also placed Au Pairs further afield such as Leeds, Ipswich, Cambridgeshire and Hampshire.
Pairs Plus and Mothers Help
Rainbow Au Pairs places both Au Pairs, who can work up to 25 hours a week, and Au Pairs Plus, who can work over 25 hours a week.
An Au Pair is a french term, meaning on par or equal to. The relationship is intended to be one of equals rather than a domestic servant. The family should have the best of intentions of treating the Au Pair as a member of the family, and in the best instances, both parties benefit from mutual learning and sharing of different cultures, languages, and experiences. An Au Pair placement is an arrangement where a person lives with a family for up to two years, receiving a reasonable allowance and a private room.
