3. SEND US SOME PHOTOS/RECORD A VIDEO OF YOURSELF
Families like to see a picture of Au Pairs before choosing. So please send us a recent picture or pictures, showing you in informal gatherings with your family, friends, or with children. We also recommend that if you have access to a web cam, do a very short video of yourself. Ideally 1 or 2 minutes, probably following the format of your dear family letter.

2. WRITE A SHORT "DEAR FAMILY" LETTER
This is a letter which simply introduces yourself to a potential host family. It is optional but highly recommended, because it gives a real picture of you as a person, your needs, aspirations and background. But unlike a CV its personal - because you decide what you want to write.

4. SUPPLY REFERENCES, MEDICAL RECORD AND POLICE CHECK
These are essential - we cannot process your application without them. For your references make sure you show proof of your previous experience. For example, if you have undertaken a lot of babysitting, make sure you have a reference from one of the families you have babysat for. You should also provide a personal /character reference, which could be from a teacher, employer, trusted individual, but not a reference from your own family.

This can also be known as a statement of good conduct is some countries. You can get this form from your local police station or town hall. Police checks can take sometime, so you may want to submit the rest of the paper work, registration and pictures first. We can interview you without the police check but you must provide it before you travel here, and your placement with the family depends on submitting a police check.
Make sure you include contact details of all references (tel, email) because we will need to contact them (DOWNLOAD OUR REFERENCE PACK). Don’t forget, all references must be written in English, or translated into English. In the reference pack we provide you with a medical form to be completed by your doctor, to confirm you are fit an healthy to work abroad as an Au Pair. Alternatively you can provide a medical certificate from your doctor but it has to be translated into English. A police report is vital because it confirms that you do not have a criminal record.
5. TELEPHONE INTERVIEW
Once your registration is complete, we will contact you for an informal interview. The conversation will be in English, partly to assess your English but also to verify some of the details of your application. Its also an opportunity for us to answer your questions. Please ensure you provide a fixed telephone line or Skype number to be contact on.
