WHAT STEPS DO I NEED TO TAKE TO REGISTER FOR AN AU PAIR?

Process of finding an Au Pair
1. REGISTER WITH RAINBOW AU PAIRS

Firstly please take time to register on our online registration form. This is simple and easy to do. The more information you can provide about the type of Au Pair you want, the better we can match you to the right individual. Once this has been completed you can email, post or fax the form back to us. This will provide us with all the information that we need to start the process of finding suitable applicants. Once we have received your completed registration form this will constitute your agreement with our terms and conditions.
3. FAMILY INTERVIEW WITH AU PAIR CANDIDATES

We will send detailed information on the potential applicants to you by e-mail, post or fax, whichever is best for you. Once you have selected an Au Pair from the selection we will then arrange for you to telephone the Au Pair to discuss the placement and suitable start dates. We can provide you with a list of things you may wish to ask your future Au Pair over the telephone.
2. AU PAIR CANDIDATE IDENTIFICATION

We will then study your registration form carefully and try and match your requirements to the Au Pairs that have registered directly on our website and au pairs registered with our partner agencies in Europe. We  screen applicants very carefully as we realise it is very important to make sure the Au Pairs are healthy, do not have criminal records and are happy to work with children. In most instances, we will probably interview them remotely so that we can judge for ourselves.
4. FOLLOW UP INTERVIEW CLARIFICATION

After the initial phone conversation you may wish to contact us again to clarify anything you are unsure about and you may wish to communicate by phone or email with the Au Pair again to make sure you are both completely happy and in agreement about what is expected from both parties.
6. CONFIRMATION AND PAYMENT OF FEES

At this time of confirmation we will require payment of our agency fee. Only once we have received your payment will we liaise with you and arrange the start dates of the Au Pair with you.

5. LETTER OF INVITATION

Once you have satisfied yourself that you are completely happy with the Au Pair, we will require a letter of invitation from you which is literally your invitation to the Au Pair to come and stay with you and your family. It should include details of your family, duties and hours expected. We can provide sample letters of the type of thing that needs to go in it if you would like more guidance on this.
7. TRAVEL

Travel to the UK is organised and paid for by the Au Pair.

We provide you with all their travel details, dates, and time and arrival location.
You will be required to meet your Au Pair at an airport/bus station or port on their arrival into the UK. Please confirm this with your new Au Pair prior to travel. In exceptional circumstances where you cannot meet the Au Pair in person, we will organise transport for you, but will charge you for providing this service.
